The Athens Volunteer Service Expo is only four days away. Flyers have been posted, e-mails have been sent and advertisements have been placed to let people know about this awesome opportunity to volunteer in Athens. We still need your help, though! It’s official! If you come to the Athens Volunteer Service Expo, you’ll have the chance to make a corn husk doll for a local retirement community. It’s time to start the countdown! The Athens Volunteer Expo is in 18 days, but there is so much work to be done. Mark your calendars, everyone. If you show up at the Expo at 4:30 p.m., you’ll be too late. The new time for the Expo is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We are hoping this will give everyone more time to come and tour the booths and will also help the nonprofits clean up their booths before Athens gets too busy with the traffic flooding in for the big Georgia-Alabama football game. The Athens Volunteer Expo is not just for stay-at-home moms and people in the business community.
